I’ve searched on the net for lens that would suit my needs for my Nikon D5300 and I have asked lot of people for advice. I finally made up my mind and bought Sigma 18-250/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens. The reason why I bought this lens it is because I want a lens that is easy to carry around during travel, though I know the pictures taken by this lens is not that great. I am not a professional photographer which needs to carry lots of lens during travel so I decided to give this lens a try. I tried it last night and I find it good for taking pictures but if going to take video with the auto focus on, it has a “tik tik tik” sound could be heard in the video recorded when auto focusing. It’s not a big deal for me because I rarely takes video on my camera. I will try it again on our tour to Japan and see how good it is.
